The new soundbar from Xiaomi has great performance and a successful design. How will it impress you?

Xiaomi has globally introduced a new soundbar designated as Soundbar Pro 2.0 ch, which expands the brand’s audio device portfolio with a mid-range option between the basic model and the most advanced 2.1 system. The new product offers a total output of 84 W, Dolby Audio support, and an elegant metal design. It follows the simpler model Soundbar 2.0, which is available in the Czech Republic for 999 Kč, and thus represents an intermediate step before the flagship model with an external subwoofer.

Four speakers for rich sound

Unlike the basic model, which only features two 15W speakers, the Soundbar Pro 2.0 ch offers a much more advanced sound setup. Specifically, it includes two mid-bass drivers complemented by two tweeters with a total peak output of 84 W. The soundbar covers a frequency range of 50–20kHz and, according to the manufacturer, delivers crystal clear sound with a significantly better soundstage than the basic model.

While the cheaper Soundbar 2.0 lacks support for advanced audio standards, the new model offers Dolby Audio decoding, which ensures a truly cinematic experience with much better spatiality. For maximum convenience, the device is equipped with six audio modes – standard, movie, music, game, news, and night – which automatically optimize the audio output according to the type of content being watched.

Advanced connectivity and easy control

Compared to the basic model, the Soundbar Pro 2.0 ch offers much richer connectivity options. In addition to Bluetooth, it is also equipped with an HDMI (ARC) port, which is missing in the cheaper version, an optical input, and a coaxial connection. This allows you to easily connect it to virtually any modern TV, computer, or smartphone.

An interesting feature is NFC for quick pairing, which works simply by tapping your phone to the marked zone on the soundbar. You will also appreciate the clear integrated display and a smart remote control, which allows you to easily switch between different audio modes or adjust the volume without having to get up from the couch.

Premium design with metal elements

From a design perspective, the Xiaomi Soundbar Pro 2.0 ch boasts an elegant look with metal mesh, which has an exquisite finish resembling a honeycomb structure. While the basic model is rather simple and understated, this mid-range adds premium elements such as a metal grille with a fine texture and more refined shaping.

The soundbar offers flexible placement options – you can either place it in front of the TV or mount it on the wall below the TV. Given the elegant finish and thoughtful design, it should fit well into any modern interior.

Complements the brand’s existing offering

The new Soundbar Pro 2.0 ch complements Xiaomi’s existing range of audio products for home theaters. At the lowest tier is the Soundbar 2.0, which is available in the Czech Republic for 999 Kč, but offers only basic features and two 15W speakers. At the opposite end of the spectrum, we find the recently introduced Soundbar Pro 2.1 ch with a total output of 300W and a wireless subwoofer, which provides truly powerful sound.

Although Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the price or official availability of the Soundbar Pro 2.0 ch in European markets, including the Czech Republic, it is very likely that it will make its way here eventually – similar to other products from the brand’s global portfolio.
