The operator O2 has introduced its summer offer, which primarily targets carefree data usage both at home and abroad. While in the past similar summer promotions focused mainly on limited discounts on selected tariffs, this year the operator comes with a more comprehensive package of benefits, including double the amount of Data naplno, maximum 5G speed for all tariff customers, and improved conditions for roaming outside the EU.

Twice as much Data naplno until the end of August

The main attraction of this year’s holiday promotion is the doubling of the number of Data naplno in tariffs. Customers can activate these daily unlimited data packages anytime during July and August in the Moje O2 application, valid for 24 hours from activation. Depending on the tariff type, they can have up to 10 such days per month.

Data naplno works as a kind of insurance against exhausting the FUP limit and is especially useful for occasional downloading of larger data volumes – for example, during a long journey when you need to play a movie for children, download maps, or upload a photo album to the cloud. The promotion applies not only to travel within the Czech Republic but also to roaming in the EU, where Data naplno works under the same conditions.

Customers with prepaid cards are not left behind either, as they will find one day of Data naplno for free in the Moje O2 application every holiday week. Compared to the standard offer where they have to purchase these packages, this is an interesting benefit they can use any day of the week.

Maximum 5G speed for everyone, without limits

The second significant part of the summer offer is **making the maximum 5G network speed available to all tariff customers** regardless of the tariff type, as we informed you earlier. This is particularly interesting for users of NEO Stříbrný, NEO Zlatý, and YOU NEO 20 Mb/s tariffs, who are usually subject to speed limits. Thanks to the holiday promotion, they can enjoy the full potential of the 5G network.

O2 also states that during the summer, it is gradually upgrading its 5G network to a more advanced generation called **5G+**. This should bring better coverage and a more stable connection.

Roaming outside the EU with 1 GB of data for free to start

For customers traveling outside the European Union, the operator has prepared an automatic gift in the form of **1 GB of data for free for the first 24 hours after arrival**. This benefit is available to all non-business customers with postpaid tariffs in over 95 countries, covering most common travel destinations.

The free gigabyte of data will primarily serve in the first hours after arrival, when it is necessary to arrange transport from the airport, find accommodation, or contact loved ones. Customers will be informed about the package activation via a welcome SMS.

The operator has also expanded the coverage of its roaming packages Svět TOP 1 GB (299 Kč) and 5 GB (399 Kč) to 96 countries, which according to their data covers 95% of all customer trips outside the EU. For more exotic destinations, O2 is introducing a new package **Svět Ostatní 1 GB for 999 Kč**, which is valid in another 28 countries.

Summer discounts on accessories

The offer is complemented by summer discounts on selected accessories. O2 has introduced a new waterproof speaker **O2 beam+**, which offers higher performance and longer battery life compared to last year’s model. Customers can purchase it for 699 Kč as part of the summer promotion. Another new product is the **O2 powerbanka with a capacity of 10 000 mAh** for 499 Kč.

Customers can get up to five discount codes valid until the end of August for these and other products in the Moje O2 application. In addition to the mentioned speaker and power bank, the discounts also apply to the O2 tag locator for both Apple and Android, or O2 pods headphones.

How to activate summer benefits

While the maximum 5G speed and 1 GB of data for free abroad are activated automatically, **customers must activate the double amount of Data naplno themselves** in the Moje O2 application. The bonus days can be found in the Data naplno section, where they are displayed as a gift. Similarly, customers with prepaid cards must manually activate their weekly day of Data naplno.

The O2 summer promotion will last until 31. srpna 2025 and applies to all customers with tariffs and prepaid cards. To utilize the maximum 5G speed, it is naturally necessary to have a compatible device with 5G support and be in an area with coverage.
