Xiaomi is expanding its portfolio of smart home products with another practical item. A new Power Strip is coming to the market, offering not only three classic sockets but also three USB ports. With this new product, you can easily charge smartphones, watches, and other devices while simultaneously powering regular appliances.

Fast charging for modern devices

The main attraction of the new power strip is the pair of USB-C ports, each capable of providing a maximum output of 20 W when used alone. This is not the highest speed, but the biggest benefit lies in the ability to charge phones or accessories while simultaneously powering classic appliances. For example, you won’t have to connect headphones or smartwatches to the network separately.

In addition to the two USB-C connectors, the power strip also offers one USB-A port with a maximum output of 18 W. However, when all three USB ports are used simultaneously, the maximum combined output is reduced to 15 W.

Safety first

Xiaomi also emphasizes safety with its new power strip. The internal wiring is made of high-quality copper, which is characterized by good flexibility, excellent conductivity, and high wear resistance. The device casing is made of flame-retardant material, which successfully passed the glow-wire test at 750 °C, demonstrating its high temperature resistance and non-flammability.

The power strip is also equipped with safety shutters that effectively prevent the insertion of foreign objects, thus reducing potential risks. On the bottom side, there are also non-slip pads ensuring stability on any surface.

Versatile use for a modern household

With three classic AC sockets and three USB ports, the new power strip from Xiaomi provides enough options for powering all common household appliances and simultaneously charging portable electronics. It is compatible with most devices on the market, but the manufacturer warns that it is not suitable for appliances with excessively large plugs.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have information about availability and price for the Czech market. However, as Xiaomi regularly brings its smart home products to the Czech Republic, it is likely that the Power Strip will appear here sooner or later.
