New Redmi attacks competition with aggressive price. It has a top chip, giant battery, and minimalist design Redmi K80 Ultra is a flagship model with a 7410mAh battery The phone offers a Dimensity 9400+ processor and up to 16 GB RAM It could arrive in the Czech Republic in autumn as Xiaomi 15T Pro Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Publikováno: 28. 6. 2025 16:00 The Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has once again proven its ability to surprise. It has just introduced a new flagship, the **Redmi K80 Ultra** (also known as Redmi K80 Extreme Edition), on its domestic market, which stands out primarily for its minimalist design, top-tier performance, and especially its massive battery, whose capacity exceeds the **7,000 mAh** mark. Combined with an aggressive pricing policy, it presents an interesting challenge even to significantly more expensive competitors. Premium hardware led by MediaTek Unlike some other flagship models of the brand, the Redmi K80 Ultra relies on a MediaTek chipset. Specifically, it’s the **Dimensity 9400+**, which is also found in devices like the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, Oppo Find X8s, or Vivo X200s. The phone is available with **up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory** and **up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage**, which matches flagship specifications. In addition, it adds a truly impressive **battery with a capacity of 7410 mAh**, which supports **100W wired charging**. As is customary for the Redmi series, wireless charging is unfortunately missing here, which represents one of the compromises to maintain a favorable price. Premium display, but weaker cameras Another significant advantage of the new model is its display. The **6.83-inch AMOLED panel** offers a resolution of **2772 x 1280 pixels**, a **144Hz refresh rate**, and a **peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits**. Xiaomi also boasts the implementation of **full DC dimming** technology, which completely eliminates pulse-width modulation (PWM) and thus saves users’ eyes. In the camera department, the Redmi K80 Ultra offers a **50Mpx main sensor** and a **20Mpx front camera**. However, the ultra-wide-angle lens with a resolution of **8 MP** is rather below average compared to the competition and is thus another area where savings were made. There is no telephoto lens included in the rear camera module at all. It is therefore obvious that Redmi definitely did not aim at photography enthusiasts and instead brought a device that, in a minimalist package, delivers fantastic performance and excellent battery life. Aggressive price in China, potential arrival in the Czech Republic The Redmi K80 Ultra starts in China at a price of **2,599 jüanů (approximately 7,700 Kč without tax)** for the version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The top-equipped variant with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage costs **3,799 jüanů (about 11,200 Kč)**. Regarding availability on the Czech market, it is likely that the phone could arrive here under the designation **Xiaomi 15T Pro**, which would correspond to the manufacturer’s current strategy. The previous generation Redmi K70 Ultra was sold globally as the Xiaomi 14T Pro. However, it is necessary to consider that the global version may offer certain changes compared to the Chinese model, especially in the area of cameras, where there could be an **improvement to the ultra-wide-angle camera and the addition of a telephoto lens**. Typically, this could be the result of **cooperation between Xiaomi and the German company Leica**. How do you like the new Redmi K80 Ultra?
